Wing of bat is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a large wing taken from a chiropteran or other winged monster that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
Wings of bat can be dropped by Drackymas, Fat bats, Minidemons, Hipsters, Night emperors, Redtail hipsters, Shades, Dark condors, and Phoenixes. One can be found in a barrel in Orkutsk. They cannot be purchased anywhere, but can be sold for 16 gold coins each. Wings of bat can be mixed with various items in the Alchemy Pot:

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit]
Wings of bat can be dropped by Drackmages, Flythons, Drackymas, Manguinis, Diethons, Gruffons, Great gruffons, Gramarye gruffons, Bloody manguinis, and Boogie manguinis. They can also be found randomly in pots and barrels in Brigadoom, Tywll Cave, Slurry Quay, Bloomingdale, Gleeba, the Plumbed Depths, and Batsureg. One wing is required to complete Quest #10: Wings of Love. Wings of bat are used in the following alchemy recipes:
- Recipe: Demon whip = Iron whip + Terrible tattoo + Wing of bat x3
- Recipe: King cobra claws = Cobra claws + Terrible tattoo x4 + Wing of bat x4
- Recipe: Macabre mantle = Dark robe + Wing of bat x4 + Terrible tattoo x3
Dragon Quest X[edit]
Wings of bat are used as an ingredient for crafting weapons, armour, and furniture or in alchemy to increase Agility. They can be purchased from a material store for 240 gold each or dropped by various monsters, including Drackies, Catulas, Direlogs, Drackymas, Imps, and Gargoyles.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
Wings of bat can be received from sparkly spots in the Kingsbarrow, the Gallopolis Region, and the Heliodor Sewers. They can be dropped by Little devils, Drackmages, Succubats, Drackymas, Vicious drackmages, Vicious succubats, Malicious little devils, and Malicious drackymas. Wings of bat are used in the following recipes for the Fun-Size Forge:
- Recipe: Witch's hat = Evencloth + Wing of bat + Celestial skein
- Recipe: Witch's robe = Narspicious x2 + Wing of bat x2 + Belle cap x2
- Recipe: Wizard's robe = Narspicious x2 + Wing of bat x2 + Green eye x2
- Recipe: Field marshal's finery = Serpent skin x2 + Wing of bat x2 + Night stick x2 + Finessence x2
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]
Wings of bat can be dropped by Drackies, Drackymas, and Drackmages or exchanged for three Mini medals from King Flaminio on the Stonecloud. They can be sold for 16 gold each or used in the quick recipe for the Bow tie or the classic recipe for the Gold ring in the Alchemy Pot. Three wings of bat are required to complete Quest #026: A Morbid Appeal.
Dragon Quest Treasures[edit]
Wings of bat can be dropped by all variants of the Dracky or received by sending a dispatch team to the Swishmelt Lakeside Area of the Hinterquarters. It is used for making dishes at the canteen or for scouting monsters.
