The beast claws are a recurring set of claws in the Dragon Quest series. They are a powerful, high-level weapon designed for martial artists and other brawlers. Originally plain can openers with no special traits, they now inflict more damage to creatures of the Beast family as of the ninth game.
Dragon Quest III remakes
The beast claws have an attack bonus of +95 and can only be equipped by Martial Artists and Thieves. They are the strongest set of claws in the game and only appear in remake versions. The beast claws can be found in Theddon underneath the cross, but only after receiving the first riddle from the riddle master in Cloudsgate Citadel. They can be sold for 412 gold, but it is not recommended to do so as there is only one set in the game.
Dragon Quest VIII 3DS
The beast claw has an attack bonus of +81 and inflicts 1.3 times damage on members of the Beast family. It only appear in the 3DS version and can be equipped by Morrie. The beast claw is dropped by Sir Leopold. It can be upgraded into the beast talon by combining it with an ethereal stone in the Alchemy Pot.
Beast claws have an attack bonus of +114, a style bonus of +60, and a two star rarity. Martial artists and Thieves can use them. They cannot be bought, but can be sold for 21,250 gold. Vermil lions drop them 1/128 of the time. They can also be found one percent of the time in a rank eight chest in a grotto. Beast claws can be used in the alchemy pot to create Beastmaster claws.

Beast claws have an attack bonus of +53 and a critical hit chance of four percent at their base level. They also do an extra ten percent of damage to birds and beasts. They can be bought in Gallopolis for 10,000 gold. Mamuus can also drop them. Jade and Rab can use them.
