The Dingbat is an intermediate monster vocation available in Dragon Quest VII.
Description[edit]
The Dingbat is an unusual red demon with bird-like features and a huge pair of wings on its back that excels at hand-to-hand combat. It offers an slight to moderate increase in most categories and a drop in wisdom. The class also has an increase chance to cause a critical hit, with the frequency being calculated as rank 1 = 1/256, 2 = 1/256, 3 = 1/64, 4 = 1/32, 5 = 1/16, 6 = 1/16, 7 = 1/16, 8 = 1/8.
Additionally, reaching rank 8 will grant a character with a weak resistance to all elements (except Woosh and fire breath) and a strong resistance to all status ailments and rock/strike skills. Mastering the vocation is required in order to become a Barbatos or a Prism peacock.
Requirements[edit]
The Dingbat requires a character to master the Jawtoise, Chimaera, and Kingfuchsia classes. A Dingbat Heart can also be won in the Lucky Panel game in The Haven's casino. Finally, it can be obtained in battle by fighting Dingbats in the Hidden Pyramid or the Alltrades Abbey region after the events at the Cathedral of Light.
