The Ring of truth, also known as the Sober ring, is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VIII. It features several peculiar eyeball-like designs and helps protect the wearer against illusions/bedazzlement.

The Ring of truth is an accessory with a Defence bonus of +10 that protects the wearer against Dazzle. It can be equipped by all characters and can be sold for 700 gold. It is worth noting that Gigaflash will still envelop a character in illusions even if they are equipped with the ring. One can found in a treasure chest in the World of Darkness version of the Godbird's Eyrie. It can be made in the Alchemy Pot and can be used to create a Catholicon ring.
