The ring of clarity is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series. It features a design of an eight-pointed star and is designed to protect the wearer against confusion.

The ring of clarity has a Defence bonus of +10, makes the wearer immune to confusion, and can be equipped by all characters. One is received as a reward for clearing Rank E of the Monster Arena. It can be created in the Alchemy Pot and can also be used to make scholar's specs. The ring can be sold for 650 gold.

The Ring of clarity has a Defence bonus of +2, a Style bonus of +3, and increases resistance against confusion by 50%. With accessory synthesis, the Defence and confusion resistance (up to a total of 80%) can be increased further.

The recipe book Little Lifesavers contains the recipe for the ring of clarity. It can be found in a treasure chest in Heliodor Castle in the Queen's Bedchamber during the second act. If two rings of clarity +3 are equipped at once, it is possible to become completely resistant to being confused.

The ring of clarity prevents confusion when equipped. It can be received during Chapter 2 after bringing a Defuddle drop to a friendly tearwolf in the Prickly Wilds.
Dragon Quest of the Stars
The ring of clarity is a 4★ accessory with a Defence bonus of +2 that comes equipped with the Confusion Guard skill, which increases resistance against confusion by 50%. At max level, the resistance can be boosted to a total of 60%. The ring can be created at the equipment workshop.
Dragon Quest Walk
The ring of clarity is a 3★ accessory with a Defence bonus of +5 that increases the wearer's confusion resistance by 5%.
Dragon Quest Tact
The ring of clarity is an A-rank accessory with a max MP and DEF bonus of +5 that increases the wearer's Confusion Res by 5%. It has three slots for Alchemy Effects. The ring can be won as a reward for reaching the goal at the Percusso T 'n' T board, found randomly while searching a drawer tile, or won by battling a shrine boss. The higher the difficulty, the more likely it is to receive the accessory.
