The silver cuirass, also known as the silver breastplate, is a recurring suit of armour in the Dragon Quest series that first appeared in Dragon Quest V.

Dragon Quest V[edit]
The silver cuirass has a defence bonus of +40. They can be bought for 5,000 gold in Gotha and Lofty Peak. Monster allies and Sancho can equip it.
Dragon Quest VI[edit]
Silver cuirasses have a defence bonus of +36 and a style bonus of +30. They can be bought for 3,200 gold in Clearvale, Arkbolt, Castle Swanstone, and Turnscote. They can also be sold for 2,400 gold. Infernal panes drop a silver cuirass 1/128 of the time. The Hero, Carver, Milly, Ashlynn, Amos, Terry, Lizzie, and Goowain can equip them.
Dragon Quest VII[edit]
The silver cuirass has a defence bonus of +36 and a style bonus of +30. It can be equipped by Hero and Aishe. It can be purchased from El Ciclo for 6,000 gold and sold for 3,000 gold. One can also be found in the Likeness of the Great Evil.
Dragon Quest VIII[edit]
The silver cuirass has a defence bonus of +44 and can only be worn by Yangus and Morrie. It can be purchased from the Holy Isle of Neos for 3,200 gold and sold for 1,600 gold. One can be made much earlier using the Alchemy Pot if one purchases silver platters from the Casino in Pickham.
