The King cureslime is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. They look identical to King slimes, but have green colored ooze and a red and purple striped crown.
Characteristics
Despite their English name, they have little in common with normal Cureslimes as far as appearances go and this is reflected in their Japanese name: they are not the result of several Cureslimes fusing together. King cureslimes have access to the most potent healing magic available, using spells like Fullheal and even Omniheal to heal their allies in battle, making them a nuisance to fight against. They can often be found in the lairs of Demon Lords.
Main series appearances
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
