The Notso Macho is a beginner monster vocation in Dragon Quest VII.
Description[edit]
The Notso macho is a bulky, yellow-skinned monster swordsman. This vocation gives a moderate boost in Strength, with drops in all other categories. At rank 8, it grants a strong resistance to Whack, Sap, Paralysis, Drain Magic, and Poison, and full immunity to Poof, Fuddle, and Dazzle. Mastering the vocation is required in order to become a Draguar or a Seasaur.
Monster Heart[edit]
In order to become a Notso macho, a character must have a heart in their inventory and go to Alltrades Abbey to change their vocation. The Notso macho heart can be found battling the monsters in the Hardlypool Tunnel in the past, Highendreigh Tower, or the Tallest Tower in the present. The monsters have a 1⁄128 chance of dropping their heart.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, a Notso macho heart can be found in a treasure chest in the eastern Vogograd region in the past. It is also easier to acquire a heart by creating a custom Traveller's Tablet with a Notso macho as one of the monsters.
