The Handsome crab is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest III.
It is a blue, seafaring variant of the Crabid.
Characteristics
Handsome crabs are monstrous crustaceans with a bright blue exoskeleton, bulging eyes, and cyan or grey-colored undersides. They are constantly drooling from their maws, which are lined with razor-sharp fangs. They are capable of landing Critical Hits with their thorny claws and their shells offer them excellent protection against the weapons of adventurers, but they are still vulnerable to offensive magic. The crabs are known as the blue devils of the sea, having sunk many fishing ships from underneath the water's surface and are the bane of many a fishing village.
