The Queen of Moonbrooke is a posthumous character that appears in Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake, having passed away during her daughter's youth.
Appearance and Personality[edit]
During the flashback to the birth of the Scions of Erdrick in the game's prologue the Queen is shown wearing a flowing robe over a simple blue dress, with her ponytail draped over her shoulder and a thin crown on her head.
The Queen has scarce dialogue in the game but it is made clear she was a loving wife and mother, eagerly hoping her daughter's cousins would play with her princess once the three came of age. She was also an avid lover of music and had the Princess of Moonbrooke schooled in several types of instruments during her youth.

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake[edit]
The Queen is shown during the opening prologue but had passed away from unknown circumstances long before the game begins. When the Prince of Midenhall and the Prince of Cannock arrive at Moonbrooke after it was razed by the Children of Hargon to search for survivors, the spirit of the Queen speaks through a glowing flower in the castle courtyard. She had planted this unusual flower when the Princess was born and it alone survived the fires started by Hargon's forces, allowing her to guide the two boys east to the Swamp Shrine to retrieve Ra's mirror so that they can save her daughter.
The Queen appears alongside her husband in spirit form during the game's ending, stating that they shall ever be in their daughter's heart as she travels with her cousins.
