Maldragora is the primary antagonist in the second version of DQ10.

Etymology
Maldragora is the primary antagonist in the second version of Dragon Quest X. He invaded the world of Astoltia from the Netherworld, seeking to acquire power of creation from Goddess Luciana and become a creator himself.
Daimou is a term for Bigger Bad, unsurprisingly shared with other Dragon Quest Villains like Zoma and Rhapthorne. This is fitting for Maldragora, since he ordered Nelgel to destroy Astoila, and had more monsters waiting in another region in case Nelgel failed to kill the Hero, along with Maldragora himself having his own plans. (Eg, creating a new Renshida to replace the old one.)

In his original Worldbreaker form, Maldragora has the appearance of a giant muscular older man with purple skin and three pairs of arms. The skin on his face is a lighter shade of purple than the rest of his body and he has long pointed ears, a set of curved horns on top of his head, and a long beard. His eyes have yellow sclerae with black irises and he wears two gold hoop earrings on his left ear. Maldragora's outfit consists of a golden breastplate with faulds attached, a tall collar with red lining, spiked shoulderpads on each of his shoulders, loose red pleated trousers similar to hakama, as well as red and gold slippers.
** In addition, he is the third main villain to have a family member, the first being Estark, and the second being Zoma.
