They can also be received as a reward for completing Showdown: Unholy Horde with gold clear time from the second time onward or Grudge Match: Unholy Horde with silver clear time from the second time onward. Saint's ashes can be used in the quick recipe for the Block-it locket or the classic recipe for the Gold rosary in the Alchemy Pot or sold for 450 gold. Three pinches of saint's ashes are required to complete Quest #62: Jilting the Jinx.

Saint's ashes are dropped by all variants of the Shadow minister or sometimes received by sending a dispatch team to the Greywing Bridge area of the Wingswept Moors. They are mainly used for crafting pellets at the Werks or for scouting monsters.
