Bonebaron DQVII PSX.png

The Bone Baron is an intermediate monster vocation in Dragon Quest VII.

Description[edit]

The Bone baron is an undead jouster on horseback with a knowledge of both ice and death magic. This vocation offers slight boosts in magic categories and moderate drops in others.

Characters who master the vocation will gain an immunity to instant death, Snooze, Dazzle, and a strong resistance to Fuddle, Fizzle, poison, paralysis, Crack, and ice breath. Mastering the vocation is necessary to becoming a Black bishop.

Requirements[edit]

To become a Baron, a character must first master the Walking corpse, Healslime, and Goodybag vocations. Bone barons have a small chance to drop their hearts and can be faced in the Vogograd region after the Demon King's resurrection or the Ventus Tower. In the Nintendo 3DS version, it is also possible to acquire a Bone baron heart by creating a custom Traveller's Tablet with a Bone baron as the boss.
