The Dream blade is a recurring Sword in the Dragon Quest series.

It has a 1/4th chance of putting enemies to sleep per slash in every appearance, and casts Snooze when used as an item in battle.

The Dream blade has an Attack bonus of +60. It can be equipped by The Hero & Ragnar McRyan. Tom Foolery has this among his equipment.

It can be purchased for 8,000 gold coins, and sold for 6,000 gold coins.

Sekerleton also wields a Dream blade in battle to put the party to Sleep.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]

The Dream blade has an Attack bonus of +55. It can be purchased in Gotha for 6,300 gold coins. The blade can be equipped by Tuppence, Parry, and Debora Briscoletti.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]

The Dream blade can be bought for 6,300 gold coins in Clearvale, Sorceria, Castle Swanstone, Mt. Snowhere, and Turnscote. It can also be sold for 4,725 gold coins. It has an Attack bonus of +65 and a Style bonus of +28, and the Hero, Terry, Amos, and Goowain can equip it. The narcoleptic effect will trigger with the Dragon Slash, Double-Edged Slash, Flame Slash, Frenzy, Gust Slash, Hatchet man, Kacrackle Slash, Lightning Slash, Mercurial Thrust, Metal Slash, Multifists (each hit), Multislash, & Undead Undoer skills.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]

The Dream blade has an Attack bonus of +43. It can be equipped by the Hero, Angelo, and Jessica Albert, provided she has enough skill points to equip swords. It can be purchased from Neos, the Peddler's Tent, and the Desert Chapel for 4,700 gold coins. Dream blades are also dropped by Dark turkeys. They can also be used to craft Ring of awakening in the Alchemy Pot when combined with a Gold ring.
