The Silk robe is a recurring robe in the Dragon Quest series which first appears in Dragon Quest IV. It is a low level robe typically designed for female characters and/or spellcasters. In later games, the robe gives a small boost to the wearer's spellcasting attributes.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]
The Silk robe has a Defence bonus of +20 and can be equipped by any vocation as long as they are female. It can be purchased for 1,500 Gold Coins at Isis and sold for 1,125. One can be found in the Isis Castle in a chest behind a door that can be opened with the Magic Key. The robe only appears in the remakes.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]
The Silk robe has a Defence bonus of +10 and can be equipped by the female Hero, Alena, Maya, and Meena. Both Alena and Meena join the party with one equipped. It can be purchased in Laissez Fayre for 110 Gold Coins and sold for 82. One can be found in a dresser in Endor and another in Laissez Fayre. They can also be dropped by Terminonators.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
The Silk robe has a Defence bonus of +13 and can be equipped by Bianca, Nera, Debora, and the Hero's daughter. It cannot be purchased anywhere, but can be sold for 125 gold. One can be found in a dresser at Fortuna. Honey is also wearing the robe as part of her equipment.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]
The Silk robe has a Defence bonus of +13, a Style bonus of +28, and can be equipped by Milly, Ashlynn, and Nevan. It cannot be purchased anywhere, but can be sold for 450 gold. One can be found in the Somnia of the Lower World in a dresser and another in Arkbolt. Damselflies will occasionally drop them.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
The Silk robe has a Defence bonus of +13, a Style bonus of +28, and can be equipped by Maribel, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. It can be purchased for 600 gold at El Magnifico Puente de Pomposo and sold for 300 gold. Several can be found in dressers throughout the game:
- Alltrades Abbey in the present on 2F.
- Temple Palace in the past on B1F.
- Greta's Cottage on 2F.
- Regrette-Rien Convent in the past on 2F.
- Hubble in the present at the inn.
Silk robes can also be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel from any Casino.

The Silk robe has a Defence bonus of +10 and can be equipped by Jessica and Angelo, as well as Red in the 3DS version. It can be purchased for 420 gold at Peregrin Quay and sold for 210 gold. One can be found in the old couple's house near Riverside Chapel.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
The Silk robe has a Defence bonus of +5, a Magical Might and Magical Mending bonus of +2, a Style bonus of +3, and increases the wearer's Weight by 1. It has an equipment level of 7 and can be equipped by Mages, Priests, Sages, Luminaries, Fortune Tellers, Druids, Gadabouts, and Death Masters, as well as Fuura and Raguas in the Offline version of the game.
In this game, the robe divided into parts for the torso and lower body. The full set also includes a hat and a pair of sandals. If all four pieces are equipped, the wearer gains a +2 bonus to Magical Might and a +5 bonus to Style. It can be crafted by a tailor or made with the Fun-Size Forge.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
The Silk robe is as a B-rank piece of clothing that can be purchased up to five times monthly from the gold shop for 1,000 gold or received as a reward from completing the third stages of the Gremlin, Alphyn, Low djinks, Maam, or Dora-in-Grey's Battle Roads. It has a DEF bonus of +6, a WIS bonus of +3, and can only be equipped by Magic, Support, and Debuff units. The robe has three slots for Alchemy Effects.
Dragon Quest Walk[edit]
The Silk robe is a 1★ piece of clothing with a Defence bonus of +3, as well as a Magical Might and Magical Mending bonus of +1. The torso and lower body pieces, along with the silk hat, are part of a Mage's initial equipment.
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit]
The Silk robe is a 1★ outfit that can be equipped by Mage, Priest, and Sage characters. Much like in X, the robe is divided into a torso piece and a leg piece. It is a piece of starter equipment and can also occasionally be acquired from free Treasure Hunts.
