First appearance | Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King |
The wight king is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest VIII.
It is not to be confused with the monster of the same name (in Japanese and English) that appeared in Dragon Quest V and XI.
Characteristics[edit]
Wight kings are zombies with a deathly blue pallor bedecked in tattered regal robes and a crown colored in various shades of crimson, gold, and teal. They carry a scepter topped with a cracked skull and wear a ruby ring on their right hands. Their sunken eyes glow green and they appear to be missing a few teeth from their skulls. These royal wights are master spellcasters armed with a variety of powerful magic, having a particular affinity for wind spells.
