Zammle is a spell in the Dragon Quest series. It damages a target with dark lightning, and is related to the Zam, Kazam, & Kazammle spells.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit]
Zammle is available only to Sages at level 8. It costs 7 MP to cast, deals 50~80 base damage, and caps at 213~243.
Dragon Quest X[edit]
Sages will learn Zammle at level 18 and Demon Swordsmen learn it at level 59, costing 7 MP to cast. Damage is calculated as Magical Might x 0.25 + 30 for a minimum range of 63~73 and a maximum range of 201~211. The firing range of the spell is 15 meters.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
Rab will learn Zammle at level 33, not too long after he joins the heroes. It costs 9 MP to cast and it's base damage is 82~94. It's growth potential is rather low, capping out at only 105~110 at 238 magical might--likely due to it's base being slightly higher than Frizzle's. Like all Zam family spells, it has double the haywire chance compared to other invocations.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit]
Zammle deals 61~68 base damage and up to 232~239 maximum. It can no longer be learned from Cursader, Muspell, Reaper, or Sage. It can now be learned from:
- Sizz & Zam (36 points)
- Sizz & Zam II (20 points)
Terry's Wonderland 3D & Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key[edit]
Zammle costs 6 MP and deals a minimum of 66~73 damage. At 699 wisdom the damage range will reach 218~241.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit]
Zammle has the same attributes as in the two 3DS remakes.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit]
Zammle costs 6 MP and is learned via the Blighter, Dark Artist, Dark Horse, Demoniac, Freeze Hexcommunicator, Zam Afficionado, and Zam Virtuoso talents. It has a base power of 70 and will deal an average of 230 damage at 699 wisdom.
Dragon Quest Treasures[edit]
Zammle fires a big ball of bleak energy at the nearest enemy in range, homing in on the target. It costs 9 MP and is learned by drackies, shadow ministers, sham hamwitchs, and umbras.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Zammle can be learned naturally by spitegeist at level 18, grim keeper, grimlin, slimeshroom, and vendor ghost at level 22, bone baron at level 24, and wight king at level 31. It can also be learned by ghost through Talent Blossoming. It costs 16 MP to cast, has a range of three squares away from the caster in any direction, and inflicts moderate Zam-type spell damage to one enemy. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
