Effect | Casts Sizz or Frizz when used as a tool in battle. |
The wizard's staff is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest series. When used as a tool in battle, it either casts Frizz on an enemy or Sizz on a group of enemies. It is usually the first wand that the player can find.
Characteristics
This staff's design has changed little over the years. It is a gnarled wooden staff long enough to be held with two hands and topped with a red crystal orb that is held with a gnarled claw. In earlier games in the series, the end of the staff had a metal tip and a smaller blue orb at the bottom end. Starting with Dragon Quest VII, the wizard's staff no longer had the orb at the bottom and the design has stayed the same since then. It also become reclassified as a heavy wand starting with Dragon Quest X.
