The Draguar is an intermediate monster vocation in Dragon Quest VII.
Description[edit]
The Draguar is a monstrous hybrid between a sabretooth tiger and a dragon. The vocation gives a slight increase in Strength, Agility, and Resilience, but slight decreases in the other categories. At rank 8, it grants a weak resistance to Crack, Woosh, Sap, and Drain Magic, and a strong resistance to all other status ailments. Mastering the vocation is required in order to become a Rashaverak.
Requirements[edit]
To become a Draguar, a character needs to master both the Mandrake Major and Notso Macho vocations first or have a monster heart in their inventory when going to Alltrades Abbey to change their vocation. The player can also win a Draguar heart as a prize from the Lucky Panel at the Casino at either Buccanham in the present or the Grand Slum version of the Immigrant Town/final version of the Haven.
A heart can also be obtained by fighting the monsters at the Ventus Tower, the Multipleximus Maximus, or several places in the present after the Demon King's resurrection, including the King Maximo's Mansion region, outside of the Coral Cave or the Tallest Tower, and the Providence region. Draguars have a 1⁄128 chance of dropping their hearts after battle.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, it is also possible to obtain a heart by creating a custom Traveller's Tablet with a draguar as the boss.
