Mersea is the underwater kingdom in the Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake, and home of the mermaids. it lay in the shallow seas southwest of Burrowell and near the shoal named Gaggle Rock, and is ruled over by the Queen of the Mermaids.

Mersea is first accessible after getting lorelei's harp from the Dream-Whisperer at the Faerie Palace following the battle with Belial, and then receiving the mermaid's blessing from Elaine on Gaggle Rock. Mersea is abandoned by the time the Scions of Erdrick and Elaine arrive, with the Queen having ordered her subjects to flee to the Mermaid Sanctuary once Mariella and her forces attacked.
