Faerie fluff is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. This rare cotton grown by faeries is used as a crafting material, particularly for making clothing.

Faerie fluff is used extensively for crafting various pieces of clothing. It is mostly picked up from sparkly spots and can be dropped by certain monsters such as Disfigurines, as well.

Faerie fluff can be purchased at the item shop in Puerto Valor for 280 gold each and sold for 70 gold. It can be picked up from sparkly spots in the Laguna di Gondolia, Insula Australis, the Dundrasil Region, Insula Algarum, and the First Forest, as well as being dropped by Gnawchids, Bite bulbs, Fandangows, and Fromage flays. Clumps of faerie fluff can also be found in barrels at the Warrior's Rest Inn and Octagonia.

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]
Faerie fluff can be dropped by Goodybags and Moosifers or received from King Flaminio in exchange for five Mini medals on the Stonecloud. It can be sold for 600 gold each and is used in the quick recipes for the Dogged collar and Elevating shoes, along with the classic recipe for the Agility ring. Two lumps of faerie fluff, along with three Pale pearls, are required to complete Quest #015: No Stone Unturned 3.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]
Faerie fluff is used as a material to improve various accessories. It can be dropped by Genie sanguinis or picked up from sparkly spots at No Man's Land and can be sold for 400 gold each.

Faerie fluff can be dropped by all variants of the Restless armour or occasionally received by sending a dispatch team to the Sweetshade Glade Area of the Maneland. It is mainly used for crafting pellets at the Werks or for scouting monsters.
