Skeletons appeared from the beginning of the game. They are able to cast [[Kasap]] once again and can perform a [[Curse Attack]] to curse their opponents. Starting with Version 5.1 of the game, vicious skeletons can be faced in the Netherworld, as well.

The Skeleton is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, introduced in the original game. It is the skeletal remains of a fallen warrior brought back from the grave to continue fighting.

Characteristics[edit]

Skeletons, are, much like their name would imply, a hostile and occasionally armed skeletons. They wear long grey tunics with brown and gold collars, brown leggings, dark blue gloves and boots, and a belt around their waists with a blue jewel as a buckle. Interestingly, their skulls are far longer than that of a normal human's, to the point that in some 3D games the cranium curves backwards slightly. The crack on their skulls is said to be a wound they received when they were still alive.
