A Seed of strength is a seed that increases the strength of whoever eats it. It can be found in treasure chests, monsters can sometimes drop it, and looking in various item places (drawers, pots, bags) may help you find seeds of strength. They cannot be found at any store, and give the eater 1-3 strength.

Dragon Quest
Due to text restrictions in the Gameboy Color remake, the seed of strength was renamed to STRseed in that version.

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation
The seeds are carried by Boss Trolls, Ursa minors, Rampages, and Ursa Majors at a rate of 1⁄64, and by Healslimes, Mermen, Dragon zombies, Infernal serpents, Skelegons, and Jackanapes at 1⁄128.
Xenlon carries a seed as well, at 1⁄32, but fighting her is too time consuming to be worth the trouble for collecting kernels.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Found in a pot in the Tower of Alexandria, in a chest in the Maella Abbey region, a bag in Pickham, a cabinet in Baccarat, a chest in Princess Minnie's castle, a cabinet in Argonia, a cabinet in Arcadia, a pot in Empycchu, and part of the reward for completing the Troll's Maze in Argonia. Mimics and Red Horn will drop them 1/256 times (1/512 for stealing), and Geyzer will drop one 100% of the time.
It can be mixed with the Gold ring through alchemy to make a Strength ring and also be sold for 15 Gold Coins.
