The Faux dowager is a villain in Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. A pretender to the throne, she is part of a conspiracy to militarize Coburg and turn it into an instrument of oppression for the Order of Zugzwang. She is directly responsible for the razing of Whealbrook during the gap between the first and second generations of the game.
