In Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, you can recruit a Jailcat to join your party.
Included in the Nintendo DS remake, it is one of the first monsters you can recruit after getting the wagon. This monster is notable for granting access to ice spells far earlier than the player would otherwise.
