The Prayer ring once again has a Defence bonus of +5, can be equipped by all characters, and restores 20~30 MP when used. They can be purchased from the item peddler in Argonia for 9,000 gold coins, but he disappears after Dhoulmagus has been defeated, and they can be sold for 1,500 gold coins. At Baccarat's Casino, prayer rings can be purchased for 1,000 tokens each. They can be dropped rarely by Goodybags and High rollers. A ring can be found in a treasure chest on the world map shortly after leaving the Desert Chapel, while another can be found in the center of the continent close to Argonia. One can be found in the barrels at the Black Citadel.

Prayer rings can be created in the Alchemy Pot and they can be mixed extensively in different recipes with the use of alchemy:

In this game, the Prayer ring will completely restore the wearer's HP or MP when they reach max Tension, determined at random, and it does not break when the effect occurs. It can be useful as there are limited means to restoring HP and MP during battles, especially for characters who are able to build Tension easily like Alena. The quick recipe for the Prayer ring can be received from King Flaminio in exchange for 2 Mini medals on the Stonecloud, while the classic and luxury recipes can be dropped rarely by Golems.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]

The Prayer ring slowly regenerates the wearer's MP over time. Once it has been fully upgraded, it will also grant a +11 bonus to the wearer's max MP. The ring can be obtained by exchanging 20 Mini medals once or dropped by Cloud surfers.

The Prayer ring is Treasure No. 233 in the Armour category. Its base value is 500,000 gold.

Dragon Quest Walk[edit]

The Prayer ring is a 4★ accessory with a max MP bonus of +15 that can be acquired as part of the limited Dragon Quest II event. It allows the user to use the Pray to Heaven skill, which restores the user's MP by 30~50. Unlike the main series, the ring can be used indefinitely to restore MP and will not break.
