The mummy is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Introduced in Dragon Quest II, it's an undead monster covered in bandages that despises the living.
Characteristics
The typical mummy and mummy boy look very similar, although the standard mummy has a blue hue in its mouth. Beginning with the Super Famicom remake of the third game, the bandages that cover mummies have have a slight tint of purple to better distinguish the two. Underneath their coverings, they appear to have pitch-black skin and their eyes glow yellow. Starting with their original appearance and in many games afterwards, mummies specialise in being able to send parties of adventurers to Sleep with their abilities.
