Kafrizzle (Meragaia in Dragon Quest IX and Merazoma in other Dragon Quest games; first localized as Blazemost) is a recurring offensive spell in the Dragon Quest Series. It's the most powerfull spell of frizzle family. It targets single enemy, dealing high fire damage.
Appearances
Dragon Quest III
Wizard companion learns this spell at level 36. It does about 180 damage. It costs 12 MP to cast.
Dragon Quest IV
Maya (Mara in NES verion) learns Kafrizzle at level 33. It deals about 200 damage, consuming 10 MP.
Dragon Quest V
This spell is used by Bishop Ladja in Dragon Quest V. It obliterates a single enemy with a Fire-elemental spell.
Bianca and Nera both learn this spell at level 33. It does between 180-200 damage.
Dragon Quest VI
Availible only to Magic Knights at job level 8.
Dragon Quest VII
Only Rangers and WoePriests learn this spell (job level 7 for Rangers, 8 for Woepriests). Deals about 190 damage.

Dragon Quest IX
Available only to Mages at level 64, Kafrizzle deals severe fire damage to a single target. In the Japanese version of Dragon Quest IX, the spell was called Meragaia, and was a new spell added to the Frizz family of spells.
