The Insula Australis is an inland in Dragon Quest XI located in the Inland Sea of Erdrea just south from Heliodor and to the east of Gondolia. It is populated entirely by humanoid monsters and can be visited by the party as soon as they acquire the ship.

  • Quest #015: Shiver Me Timbers!: The pirates that the chef from Puerto Valor mentioned have set up base on this island. They must be defeated in order to get the Proper Pepper back from them.

Crossbow Target

  • There is a crossbow target hanging from the tree in the southwestern part of the island.

Etymology

Insula Australis is Latin for "southern island", due to it being located south of the Heliodor region.
