Game | Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King |
Just like all games in the series, the world of Dragon Quest VIII is surrounded by oceans.
The Hero and his party first travel the ocean between Port Prospect and Peregrin Quay. They later gain access to the rest of the ocean after enlisting help from Ishmahri to revive the Ancient Ship.
Additionally, random encounters with monsters are still present in the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, despite no longer occurring elsewhere.
