Spirit Amulets

The Spirit Amulets are important accessories in Dragon Quest VII.

Can also be used as an item during battle. (Description of an Amulet in the Nintendo 3DS Version of Dragon Quest VII.)

Each Amulet is obtained when a corresponding spirit is awoken. All of them can be equipped and used in battles as an item, but more importantly, they serve as a means of getting past a dead end in the Cathedral of Blight and leading to one of the four pieces of the Saint's Equipment hidden away by Orgodemir.

Air Amulet[edit]

The Air Amulet (originally WindCharm) is obtained by awakening The Wind Spirit in Sanctum of the Cirrus with the Cirrus surplice.

It has the bonus of +50 agility/+15 style, reduces Wind-element damage by 20 points in the PSX version, and can be equipped by The Hero, Maribel, Ruff, Sir Mervyn & Aishe. When used in battle as an item, it has a similar effect as Swoosh.

Fire Amulet[edit]

The Fire Amulet (originally FlameChrm) is obtained after defeating The Fire Spirit at the end of Burnmont.

It has the bonus of +25 attack/+10 style, reduces breath attack damage by 20 points in the PSX version, and can be equipped by The Hero, Maribel, Ruff, Sir Mervyn & Aishe. When used in battle as an item, it is similar to Frizzle.

Earth Amulet[edit]

The Earth Amulet (originally TerraChrm) is obtained by awakening The Earth Spirit in The Oasis with the face stones.

It has the bonus of +20 defense/+10 style, reduces Lightning-element damage by 20 points in the PSX version, and can be equipped by The Hero, Maribel, Ruff, Sir Mervyn & Aishe. When used in battle as an item, it has a similar effect as Fissure.

Water Amulet[edit]

The Water Amulet (originally AquaCharm) is obtained by awakening The Water Spirit in Rainbow Cove by use of The Sea Dragon after awakening the other three.

It has the bonus of +30 defense/+20 style, reduces Fire-element damage by 20 points in the PSX version, and can be equipped by The Hero, Maribel, Ruff, Sir Mervyn & Aishe. When used in battle as an item, it has a similar effect as Zzz Shanty.
