Only Armamentalists and WoePriests learn this spell (vocation ranks 7 and 8, respectively).

- In the 3DS port, the base range of the spells was increased to 153~167. This gives it a maximum range of 297~311, and necessitates a wisdom stat of 580 to get that high.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
Veronica will learn to cast Kafrizzle upon mastering her Spellcraft skill tree. It costs an obscene 52 MP but hits for an immense 366~398 damage before reaching a maximum of 748~780.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 1, 2, & 3
Kafrizzle is an expensive spell at 30 MP, but hits hard for 284~300 base damage. Once the monster's wisdom trumps 504, it will grow in power until it reaches 441~457 at 999 wisdom. It is learned via the following skill sets: Frizz & Bang 3, Frizz & Woosh 3, Frizz & Zap 3, Frizz & Zam 3, Fire 3, Uber Dark Dynamiter, Uber Mage, Frizz & Sizz 3, Leonyx.
Enemy versions
The enemy version of the kafrizzle dealt 92~128 damage in each game until VI and VII, where it hit for 120~140. In VIII it inflicted 96~112 damage, and it IX the spell is calculated as 7 * level * (0.95~1.05), with a minimum range of 266-294 and a limit of 658-727.

Localization Differences
In Dragon Quest IX, Kafrizzle (メラガイアー Meragaiā) is a new spell; however, despite the fact that Merazoma had been localized as Kafrizzle in Dragon Quest VIII and the DS remakes, to keep with the new spell naming structure Merazoma became Kafrizz. Kafrizzle therefore remains the most powerful of the Frizz family of spells.
