The steel strongbox (Iron safe in the NES Version) is an item in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.

First seen in Chapter 3, it allows Torneko Taloon to fall in battle without losing half of his money. As with the Talaria and the Sphere of Silence, it will not carry over into the inventory in Chapter 5.
