Ruined Abbey is a town in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. It is a longer, alternative way to the Abbot's quarters.

Story[edit]

Not much is known about the history of the former Abbey other than it being abandoned due to an unspecified disease which claimed the lives of those who lived there.[1]

Years later, Angelo points The Hero, Yangus and Jessica to the former Abbey in order to sneak into Abbot Francisco's quarters to prevent him from being harmed by Dhoulmagus.
