Dunplundrin (Seaside Village originally) is a town in Dragon Quest IV, located on a small island in the oceans southwest of Endor. It was originally founded by pirates who tired of piracy, and is now inhabited by their descendants. The coastline differs between day and night; at nighttime, the tides rise. When this happens the player is able to detect the location of the Karstaway stone, which is needed to get the Sandglass of Regression, a useful item.
