The Ruin in Memoriam (追憶の魔人 Tsuioku no majin) is a monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. It is a more powerful variant of the Ruin that appears as the tenth boss in Memories Lane.
Characteristics
The memory of the crumbling Black Citadel has taken physical form in Memories Lane. The Ruin in Memoriam would be a rather mundane boss battle if it were not for the innate chance of its attacks causing paralysis. Thus, Catholicon rings are an invaluable asset on every party member.
