Cock-a-doodle-doo is a curative spell in the Dragon Quest series. It wakes up sleeping party members.

Appearances

Dragon Quest III

Cock-a-doodle-doo is learned by Priests and Sages at level 16. It costs 3 MP and targets the entire party.

Dragon Quest IV

Cock-a-doodle-doo is learned by the hero at level 17. It costs 2 MP to cast.

Dragon Quest VII

A skill similar to the spell can be learned by the Troubadour. Dawn Chorus is learned at the sixth rank in the original PSX version and fifth rank in the 3DS remake.

Dragon Quest IX

Cock-a-doodle-doo is learned by priests at level 11 and rangers at level 18. It costs 2 MP to cast.

Dragon Quest X

Priests learn the spell at level 7, and Rangers at level 10. It costs two MP to cast as usual.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Erik learns the spell at level 15, and Sylvando joins having already learned it. It costs 2 MP to cast.

Dragon Quest Tact

Cock-a-doodle-doo cannot be learned naturally by any monster, but it can be taught to any by using an ability scroll. It costs 12 MP to cast, has a range of up to two squares away from the caster in any direction, and wakes up a single party member from sleep. The scroll can be received as a reward by defeating Dragon zombies in the Trick or Treat with Valencia: Advanced level during the limited "Halloween Treat Tussle" event.
