[[Borya]] voices his and the captain of the guards frustration at Tsarevna [[Alena]] making another attempt to escape the [[Zamoksva|castle]], only to find she left at some point. [[Kirya]] claims he was listening to him on her behalf, but the old Mage isn't buying it. [[Alena]] is downstairs trying to convince the soldiers that her father has given her permission to head out, only for them to deny her request as the Tsar himself was at the entrance and declaring no such permission was given. He goes on to state that he's been having some dreams that while he can't fully recall, he dreads the worse if his daughter leaves. She mentions having her own dream of surviving against a bear by kicking it, demonstrating her move on a pillar, smashing it. The Tsar and soldiers react with shock. | |||

The Attract Mode of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen is an exclusive inclusion of the game's Sony PlayStation release. It plays after the game is left at the title segment too long and gives a brief glimpse of the Chosen Ones sans the Hero prior to events of the Prologue.
Story
Ragnar McRyan
At the castle of Burland, Ragnar McRyan is observing the training of the castle guards while the supervisor tells them not to hold back as real combat isn't so easy. Another guard calls Ragnar out for patrol. Following that, he takes some people to see the king whom they inform that the children are missing. Ragnar and some guards leave for Strathbaile Burrow.
Alena/Kiryl/Borya
Borya voices his and the captain of the guards frustration at Tsarevna Alena making another attempt to escape the castle, only to find she left at some point.
