The Hero of Dragon Quest IX takes over being guardian of Angel Falls at the start of the game. It was previously watched over by Aquila, the Hero's mentor. Early in the game, the Hero collects multiple portions of Benevolessence from the people. One part is collected after [[Aquila]) and the Hero save Erinn and her grandfather from monsters. Another part is received by finding a ring which a dog shows the Hero and then delivering it to the woman in the church. The third is received by cleaning up the manure in the stable while the man is asleep. A fourth is received after helping the ghost of a man realize that he is now dead, allowing him to peacefully go to the afterlife.

After the fall from the Observatory, the Hero is taken in by Erinn. The Hero then travels with Ivor to attempt to clear the main road leading to Stornway. After rescuing Patty at the The Hexagon, the Hero helps Erinn to learn the truth about her father and move to Stornway. The Hero meets up with Stella who offers him a ride back to the Observatory on the Starflight Express. This marks the end of Angel Falls major involvement in the game.

The Town Inn when it was under Erinn was a popular resting place for travelers, however when Ivor took over the Inn lost some of its reputation. The waterfall for which the town is named is said to having healing properties This is the reason given for why Erinn and her father moved there when she was a child and is later used in a few quests to produce Angel Tears when combined with fresh water.

At the south-east side of the region is the dungeon The Hexagon, the original connection path between Angel Falls and Stornway.
