The Church Near Hardlypool is a save area in Dragon Quest VII. If a game is saved here, the file screen refers to it as Country Church.

Story

Upon finding the residents of Hardlypool missing, The Hero, Maribel and Ruff go through the village tunnel to find themselves here. While at the church, they are pointed to Spilton-on-Sea and Wetlock.

The church is completely covered under the flood caused by Gracos, though shows no signs of damage afterwards. In the present, it is still standing, along with the town of Wetlock. Oddly enough, the church keeps the same name it did in the past despite Hardlypool not existing in the present.
