Etymology

In Japanese, these are two seperate monsters.

The elephant-looking version that appears in the 3DS version of DQXI is named ナウマンムーア (Naumanmūa), which is a portmanteau of the Japanese names for the enemies Naumannborg (ナウマンボーグ Naumanbōgu) and Mortamor (デスタムーア Desutamūa).

The one from the Switch version is named セルゲイムーア (Sergeimūa), a portmanteau of the Japanese names for Bilhaw (セルゲイナス Sergeinasu) and Mortamor (デスタムーア Desutamūa).
