Dim is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in the Monsters: Joker spinoff games. When cast, it will reduce the Wisdom of a single foe. It is related to the group-=targeting spell Kadim.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit]
Dim reduces one monster's wisdom by 20% and can be cast twice to cut the stat by 40%. The spell is learned through the Antimagician, Choreographer, Dark Artist, Enfeebler, and Toxicologist talents.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Dim is known naturally by Orc king at level 1 and costs 9 MP to cast. It has a range of three squares away from it in any direction and greatly lowers a single enemy's WIS for three turns. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
