Somnia (レイドック, also romanized as Reidock) is a both a castle town and a kingdom in Square Enix Dragon Quest VI. The Upper World's version is relatively the first castle The Hero visits.
Kingdom of Somnia
In the Upper World's Somnia, the kingdom is led by a king who never sleeps. The kingdom is recruiting warriors to destroy Murdaw. Here, the Hero and Carver join the Somnian Knights, led by Captain Blade.
