The battle beetle is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Introduced in Dragon Quest VIII, it's an anthropomorphic beetle monster with a tough pink armored shell that protects it from all forms of damage.
Characteristics[edit]
Battle beetles are insectoid warriors whose carapaces are a striking shade of pink. They have blue markings all over their body and wear blue handkerchiefs around their necks. Like the other beetles in their family, they will charge opponents with their horned heads to knock them down. The beetles can also bolster their formidable defenses by casting Buff on themselves, as well. However, they can still fall quickly due to their low amount of HP.
