Zing is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it is a weaker version of Kazing that is not guaranteed to fully revive an ally. The amount of health is restores and the success rate can vary from game to game.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation
Zing is learned by The Hero at level 35 and by Priests and Sages at level 24.
Voodoogooder uses this spell to revive its allies.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
Zing is learned by Meena at level 20, Kiryl at level 21, and The Hero at level 28. It costs 10 MP to cast.
Hell raisers can use it to revive their allies, and Foo Yung in the remakes can use it to revive Chow Mein.

Zing is already known by Kingsley upon joining the party, and is learned by Nevan at level 13. Other characters can learn it by mastering the Priest vocation.
The enemies Octavian sentry, King slime, and Mortamor's right hand can use it to revive their allies.

Zing is learned by Angelo at level 19, and by The Hero at level 29.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
Zing has a roughly 50% chance to bring back a deceased party member. It is available to Priests at level 18, Minstrels and Rangers at level 24, and Sages at level 20. It costs 8 MP to cast.
Dragon Quest X
Zing has a chance to revive a party member at 25% HP. It is learned by Priests and Sages at level 32, Rangers at level 38, and Minstrels at level 43. It costs 8 MP to cast.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
Zing is learned by The Hero at level 28, Serena at level 18, and Rab already knows the spell when he joins the party.
Dragon Quest Monsters
Called Vivify in this game, it requires the monster to reach level 14 with at least 63 MP, and 54 intelligence. It grows into Revive when the monster reaches level 27 with 174 MP and 152 intelligence. It is naturally learned by the KingSlime, Mudron, Orc and Unicorn.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2
Vivify now requires 98 intelligence to learn and 274 intelligence to upgrade. It is naturally learned by the Egdracil, KingSquid and Merman. It is no longer naturally learned by the KingSlime.
