Squelch is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series.
When used, it removes Poison and Envenomation toxins from a party member.

Squelch can be learned by both Priests and Sages at level 3, and Thieves at level 10.

Dragon Quest Monsters
Antidote is learned by monsters beginning at level 5 if the monster has at least 21 MP and 20 Intelligence. It is learned naturally by Dracky, FloraMan, Pixy, and Unicorn. [1]

Antidote now requires 47 Intelligence to learn. It is no longer naturally learned by the Unicorn and WhaleMage.

Squelch can be learned from:
- Cleanser (8 points)
- Green Finger (22 points)
- Priest (17 points)

Squelch can be learned from all the skills it could previously, though the point requirements for Cleanser and Green Finger have changed. It can now be learned from:
- Boom Boxer (34 points)
- Cleanser (4 points)
- Green Finger (4 points)
Dragon Quest Tact
Squelch cannot be learned naturally by any monster, but it can be taught to any by using an ability scroll. It costs 12 MP to cast, has a range of up to two squares away from the caster and can be self-cast, and removes poison from a single party member. The scroll is received as a reward for completing Chapter 5, Episode 8: Find the walking corpses II in the main storyline.

Squelch can be known naturally by Sham hatwitches, Orc chieftains, and Elysium birds at level 1. In this game, the spell is an enhanced version of the ordinary Squelch that can cure a single ally of multiple negative status effects, including poison, sleep, stun, paralysis, bedazzling, and silencing for 5 MP.
