Riverton is a town found in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
The aptly-named town sprang up on opposite banks of a river, with an island right in the middle. It is one of the few locations in the remake to keep the name used in the original localization.

Riverton is the home of a mechanic in need of a gas canister to make a perfectly functional balloon. Upon receiving one from the Hero, who must retrieve it from Estark's Crypt, he manages to create the balloon and gives it to the Hero and his party.
