The Locket of Love (LuvMemory or Memories of Love) is a key item in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.
It is required to access the Shrine of Shackles in order to retrieve the Mountaincleaver. The locket is held in a treasure chest aboard the Phantom Ship. Retrieving it is part of the subquest to receive the Silver Orb.
Eric and Olivia[edit]
The locket belongs to Olivia who gave it to her lover Eric before he was sent on a sea voyage. Eric's death on the voyage resulted in Olivia killing herself on the heights of what is referred to as Olivia Cape. A curse remains on the strait near Olivia Cape leading to the Shrine. The curse can only be counteracted by using the locket near the strait.
