Kasap (originally localized as Defense) is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. Unlike Sap, it targets a group of enemies. The spell has a 100% chance to weaken enemies before resistances apply and is cast for 4 mp.

The Princess of Moonbrooke learns Kasap at Level 10.

Dragon Quest III

Defense is learned at 18 by both a Priest and Sage.

Dragon Quest IV

Kasap is learned by Borya at level 21, and is already known by Psaro upon joining. Orifiela also knows the spell.
