Rising Slice is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. When used, the swordsman performs a quick upward slice with their katana.
Appearances
Dragon Quest IX
Rising Slice is an enemy-only skill that can be used by both Goresby-Purrvis and Excalipurr. It deals damage to a single character and prevents them from acting for one turn.
Dragon Quest X
Rising Slice appears once again as an enemy-only skill that can be used by Goresby-Purrvis.
Dragon Quest Tact
Rising Slice can be learned by Lt Goresby-Purrvis at level 32 and costs 56 MP to use. It inflicts 250% potency physical damage to all enemies in a small T-shaped area in front of him. Upgrading the ability increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to use.
